| Hello, I am Carolyn George. I was born in Baltimore,
Maryland, the second of six children. After several moves, my family
eventually settled on a dairy farm in Georgia, where I lived until
college.
After earning my physical therapy degree in 1967 at the Medical
College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, I began working in general
hospital settings with both adults and children. In 1974, I moved
to Europe living in France for ten years, and then in Greece for
eight years where I worked in home health physical therapy.
Returning to the states in 1992, I settled in Oakland, California
working in general hospitals and in the Oakland and Berkeley school
systems. From 1992 through 1996 I studied the Feldenkrais Method
of Movement Education in San Francisco. Here at Mt. Shasta Physical
Therapy, I work with patients using my expertise as a physical therapist
and the Feldenkrais Method.
My home is now Mt. Shasta and I own a small house with a beautiful
mountain view, sharing it with my two cats. I feel very fortunate
in finding this wonderful place to live, and I enjoy being a member
of this community.
