Hi, I am Jason Koster. I am originally from Hopewell
junction, New York. I obtained my Bachelor of Science from Quinnipiac
College where I graduated Cum Laude in May of 2001. In January of
2002 I received my Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from
Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. While completing my
degree I completed research on the effects of Myofascial release
and Yoga on carpal tunnel syndrome. I also had the opportunity to
study under Cyriax and McKenzie certified orthopedic physical therapist
Russell Woodman.
Before arriving to Mt. Shasta I worked in a variety of settings
including; rehab centers, an Indian health service hospital, and
outpatient orthopedic clinics. I have rehabilitated patients with
traumatic brain injuries, strokes, diabetes, cardiopulmonary diseases,
and multiple orthopedic diagnoses. My involvement in competitive
sports and outdoor recreation has given me an insight on preventing,
treating, and conditioning for such activities.
